Entering the canton of Bern

The Federal Council has decided to relax the requirements for entering Switzerland from June 26, 2021.

There are facilitations for entry from the Schengen area and for vaccinated and recovered persons. You can find more information here:

Requirement to be tested when arriving by plane

It is possible that you will need to be tested in order to travel. Please check the conditions that your air-line applies.

Mandatory testing and quarantine for travelers

Have you stayed in a country or region with a worrying variant at any time in the 10 days before entering Switzerland and you are neither vaccinated nor recovered?

Then you must proceed as follows:

  • Upon entry, a negative PCR test must be available that is not older than 72 hours, or a negative antigen rapid test that is not older than 48 hours.
  • Go to your home or other suitable accommodation immediately after entering the country.
  • You must stay there continuously for 10 days after your entry.
  • Report your arrival within two days using the following form:
